CEO DATELINE - Reed Exhibitions acquires ITS America events

Reed Exhibitions has acquired two events from the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, with the shows continuing to run under the ITS America brand as part of the agreement.

The ITS World Congress and the group's annual meetings will be owned by Reed but ITS America will continue to lead, manage and deliver content and thought leadership for both events, the two organizations said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"For more than 25 years, ITS World Congress and annual meetings have been the preeminent venues for convening leaders from the public and private sectors and academia to discuss emerging trends in transportation technology," ITS America CEO Shailen Bhatt said in a statement. "This new relationship will greatly expand our reach, and we look forward to connecting with even more stakeholders at the ITS World Congress in Los Angeles in 2020 and beyond."
The next ITS World Congress is scheduled for Oct. 4-8 in Los Angeles. ITS America holds annual meetings throughout the year in various states.
